Global Grid Forum 7 (Tokyo) Session:

A GridCPR Working Group Session was held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 6, 2003 in the Tama Room of the Keio Plaza Hotel at GGF7 in Tokyo.

The main objective of the session was to review a document the we have started entitled An Architecture for Grid Checkpoint Recovery Service and API - which we hope will clarify for the group and others what exactly we're all about, and what we intend to achieve in producing the GridCPR API and Service Specifications. We also discussed ideas for how we might making better progress on our efforts as a working group.

Action Items:

1. Complete consensus diagram of GridCPR Services & API Architecture
   • Identify and describe core components
   • Interfaces and messaging within and to/from core
   • Clearly draw scope boundaries of GridCPR-WG
2. Complete GWD-I Architecture document draft & discuss within GridCPR-WG (via mailing list)
3. Reconcile architecture with other existing GGF research/working groups' services & spec's.
4. Publish GWD-I GridCPR Architecture Document.
